As I have mentioned previously, I will be partaking in the Dungeon23 challenge.
This blog post will be where I post my updates and achievements as I go along.
This is how I D&D
As I have mentioned previously, I will be partaking in the Dungeon23 challenge.
This blog post will be where I post my updates and achievements as I go along.
I have decided to do #Dungeon23.
If you are unfamiliar, #Dungeon23 is the brainchild of Sean McCoy who has set a challenge of building a dungeon area each day of 2023 with the goal of having a mega-dungeon by the end of the year.
In Dungeons & Dragons, wizards always seem to go for the flashy, damage-inducing spells.
But there are other spells that are way more effective (in various situation), and I feel, are way better than those flashy spells.
I want to try and expand your thinking when it comes to choosing your wizard’s spells. Or, to help you make do with the ones you randomly rolled.
I have broken this up into three editions of the game – OSE (Basic), D&D3e, and D&D5e – listing five from each edition.

Issue 18 of my Dungeons and Dragons zine is out!
Issue 18 is all about Swamps. It will feature articles on types of swamps, creatures and locations found in wetlands, adventuring in these difficult terrains, new monster templates, and much more! (See below for details).
Haunted Tavern is Issue 5 of d12 Sites, my location zine for Dungeons & Dragons.
d12 Sites is a zine that covers a new location you can drop anywhere in your own D&D campaign world.
Issue 5 is covers a haunted tavern. It features a rundown tavern in the centre of a city or town which is now given a wide birth from the locals as it is known to be haunted. Even the settlement’s officials seem to just ignore it.
In my blog post on how governments could react to spellcasting and spellcasters, I spoke about how Nations would view and regulate spell schools and casters, in general.
In this post, I want to give an example from my own campaign world on how to apply laws for spellcasting by showcasing how the city-state of Myrbridge handles this.
Issue 17 of my Dungeons and Dragons zine is out!
Issue 17 is all about Halloween 2022. It will feature articles on fantasy versions of three fictional killers, graveyard encounters other than undead, three new undead, adding holidays to your campaign world, a simple insanity mechanic, and much more! (See below for details).

Bloodied Grove is Issue 4 of d12 Sites, my location zine for Dungeons & Dragons.
d12 Sites is a zine that covers a new location you can drop anywhere in your own D&D campaign world.
Issue 4 is covers the Bloodied Grove. It features a once beautiful druid’s grove that has been corrupted by the Cult of the Bloodied Hand – one that is hell-bent on enacting a ritual that will awaken a long-dormant evil. But there is more to this cult than first meets the eye.
The next two years will be, hopefully, growth years for YUDM, my zines, and the industry as a whole.
I wanted to let you know what I have planned as a way of keeping you informed, but to also hold myself to account.
NOTE: While these plans are written down and mapped out, they may (and probably will) change in some aspects – especially given we live in uncertain times.
Issue 16 of my Dungeons and Dragons zine is out!
Issue 16 is all about weapons. It will feature articles on making weapons from creatures and undead, shield bashing rules, weapon tags to make your weapons different, blessed weapons, and much more! (See below for details).
