To take a break from Dungeons & Dragons, and fantasy in general, I have been reading a lot of old Traveller rules and putting together some resources and ideas to run a solo campaign in that universe.
Having gathered all this material, I wanted to share what I have found in case you, too wanted to get into some Traveller – solo – or otherwise.
Below are four resources I have found that have been immensely helpful to me so far.
The Rule Books
I am a little bit of a traditionalist when it comes to TTRPGs, and this is no different for Traveller, where I chose to use Classic Traveller.

However, you can choose whatever edition you prefer.
Solo & Expansions
While there are mentions of playing Traveller solo in the original three little books, Zozer Games has released a solo companion book for Traveller.
They have also released two other books: Kosmos 68 and The Outworld Authority – both being setting books. The former inspired by “images of a Soviet space-future, and also by the look and feel of classic old-style Soviet movies like The Planet of Storms (Planeta Bur, 1962)”, and the latter “Evoking the gritty industrial sci-fi movies of the early 80s”.

You can find these books and more at their website.
Find out how to run a D&D solo campaign by downloading the 50th issue of my Dungeons & Dragons’ zine, d12 Monthly.
The Book of Random Tables: Science Fiction NPCs

Not technically a Traveller book, this solo companion book will surely help with generating NPCs as you travel the known worlds.
You can grab The Book of Random Tables: Science Fiction NPCs from DriveThruRPG.
Official Map
An interactive, online version of the official known galaxy for Traveller. No spacer would dare leave home without it.

While You’re Here…
Since 2021 I have been publishing d12 Monthly, a monthly zine, which has a ton of articles for any edition of Dungeons and Dragons.
Printed copies are available in my store. The PDF is available on DriveThruRPG and you can get both, plus support my work, via my Patreon.
I will also be releasing some more products in the near future.
Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter or my contact page any time.
