My DnD 3.0 Solo Campaign

My DnD 3.0 Solo Campaign

Given Dungeons & Dragons 3e has been around for 25 year this year, I thought it was time to bring back my D&D 3.0e campaign.

I started this campaign back in 2023 as a small dungeon crawl underneath the city-state of Myrbridge (you can find information about Myrbridge in Issue 42 of d12 Monthly).

This turned into a mammoth dungeon crawl as the PCs discovered more and more caverns underneath the city. They applied, and received, a licence from the city’s council to explore these caverns to make sure no threats were forthcoming on the city above.

This was done via the church of Lucindar, of which Tenaziir, one of the PCs, was an active member.

The PCs went on to foil several plots, including one that was to poison the drinking water of the city and which was orchestrated by the head cleric of the church of Lucindar!

Another plot involved mass charming a bunch of nobles by an evil sorceress and her bard lover.

These actions by the PCs have put them in good stead with the city’s council and a few prominent nobles, and as a reward the PCs were able to keep a rundown tavern (after driving off the cutthroats within), which they converted into a base of sorts for themselves.

I am picking this campaign up after the PCs thwarted an evil dragon from discovering and using the Dragons’ Cathedra – an ancient artefact that would have given it control of all dragons.

The PCs are back to exploring parts of the caverns beneath the city that have so far been left un-explored. A month has past since the last activities – that will give the characters time to rest and work on some projects.

Most of the PCs are 4th level now, while a couple are still 3rd, and I’m looking forward to seeing them increase in power and status. I prefer slow advancement as it allows for better roleplaying and development opportunities. A couple of them are moving towards prestige classes and the mage – Xain – now has a baby dragon familiar.

I don’t film any of the sessions for this campaign (but I do have an OSE campaign on YouTube if you are interested) as I play these purely pen-and-paper as a way to unwind, relax, and have fun.

I will probably do some blog posts on the progress, however. So, look out for those in the near future.

Since 2021 I have been publishing d12 Monthly, a monthly zine, which has a ton of articles for any edition of Dungeons and Dragons.

Printed copies are available in my store. The PDF is available on DriveThruRPG and you can get both, plus support my work, via my Patreon.

I will also be releasing some more products in the near future.
